Talk about some bands in the 90’s who were opening acts, which you had no previous exposure, and then bought their album at the show or next day at a record store.
Bands you had not heard before and ended up buying their album after hearing them perform live.

I'll give you a couple.

I saw Dream Theater open for Iron Maiden on June 8, 1992 at The Ritz.
Within about a minute and a half, I had a new favorite band that would become my most listened to band of my adult life.

I saw Bon Jovi open Scorpions on June 9th, 1984.
I knew Runaway, but I was blown away by how good this band was live. I bought the cassette of their debut the next day.

In 1997, Jimmie’s Chicken Shack was an opener for Live. I had not heard anything from the band before that time but their set was great. So with the inspiration of this live performance, within days I was searching my usual big box music/entertainment store and bought a copy of Pushing The Salmonella Envelope. It’s one of my favorites from the year it was released.

On May 8, 1992, I saw Kiss at Avalon in Boston when they were doing the Revenge club tour. It was an amazing show, but the opening band was a band called Shooting Gallery. Had a real LA club sleaze feel to them which if done right is fine. They blew me away live, particularly the drummer who I was absolutely mesmerized by. I immediately sought out their album.
I found out the guitarist was Andy McCoy from Hanoi Rocks. Made sense because that's exactly who they reminded me of. They only made one album but I loved it.

I liked 'Maiden' with Paul Di Anno on vocals (1978-81) cos Paul gave the band a 'dangerous edge' plus I thought his street/punk style and vocal delivery gave the rest of the band of 'long hairs' in particular messer's harris & Murray who wore either denim & leather & bullet belts a good look!.

Bruce looked Heavy Metal back in the 80s but was to comfortable looking plus his vocals were to operatic for my liking.
