we were called fireball until we realised there was someone already gigging under that name in the vicinity.

we do late-60s and 70s rock covers: Led Zeppelin, Free, The Who, Steppenwolf, The Faces, Rolling Stones, Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Boston, Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac, Status Quo, The Beatles, Rainbow, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Eric Clapton, AC/DC

we did kind of like vintage as a name, but it's a bit non-descript - could be jazz or folk. we need something more, well, rock.

other options include rockface, stormbringer, the blue onions, rocktopus, convoy, man tooth, gauntlet, brick house, hairy eyeball, amps and icons, livewire...

any help would be much appreciated. we're ready to gig, so we really need a name!

nothing personal - i hadn't seen your post and had to bath the kids.

i had rock of ages on the list a bit ago but it didn't stick (maybe cos of biblical connotations). but if you guys like it maybe it needs resurrecting.

i'm rather taken with rockface ("show me your rockface... rarrrr!") but the rest of the band think it's too gimmicky.
