I've always had so much trouble with this question, but Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.. there are plenty of bands fighting for second, thrid, fourth, and fifth(where I really lose track), but I just realized Petty annihilates every single one

great pick Eberg. Not my fav but, Tom shows everyone that simplicity works when done well

I go through phases of extreme fanaticism... with some bands I don't want to listen to anything else for months and then I wear them out and hardly listen to them again, or at least not for a long time. Right now I'm having a Pink Floyd phase (hence my nickname !)... so I guess thats my choice right now

But other bands I really like would be The Beatles, The Doors, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Simon And Garfunkel.
