    :yay: I like this thread.

I just finished reading the entire "Wheel of Time" series by Robert Jordan (well, up to where it's been written thus far, anyway).

If you're a fan of Lord of the Rings style fantasy, I'd highly recommend it. A fourteen book series looks daunting at first, but it's worth every page!

Anyway, my current venture is this one:

Bill Bryson is a decent author, he does travel and factual books, but has a writing style and a wit not dissimilar to Douglas Adams (but not to the extreme levels that Adams went). This particular one dissects the history of housing and how houses got to what they are now, and aside from the dry, witty comments, it's actually quite interesting :grinthumb.

@ Sal. Funnily enough, I've got that one :heheh: You'd never guess, would you? But anyway, I really liked it. It even managed to teach me a new fact or two.

@ LG. I've got Dune lying around, but I never really got into it. Might try again, I've heard nothing but good reviews about it, maybe I've just been in the wrong mood the last couple of times I read it :dunno:

@ Sox. That one's definitely on my radar for new books. I saw it where I work once, but it sold before I got around to claiming it, and I haven't seen it since :(

I'll wind up my essay here. But I'll be back :grinthumb

EDIT: Since when did we have a limit for images? I had to delete some smilies <insert sad face that I cannot add here>

It was a real tug of war Astrid and Patti put up with an awful lot from the pair of them. I think there was love but the wealthy rock lifestyle took it's toll.:grinthumb

Yeah I bet your right about this..
I feel sorry for Patti ,she had alot going for her but never seemed to find a stable love...

George grew too fast for her to keep up
and Eric just didn't understand marriage imo...drugs and temptations were more important

I really want to hear Erics take...I never heard him ever trash Patti in interviews...I think he is a gentlemen for that...:grinthumb

^^^You have hit the nail on the head ... Eric's silence speaks volumes I think he knows just how wrong his actions at times were. The book tells all.
