Feeling a little more... refined than normal? What classical music are you listening to?

Serenade No. 10 for Winds in B-Flat Major ("Gran Partita") W. M. Mozart

Nice to see another classical fan in these parts BD.:mn:

I was so sad to see Telarc fold a few years ago, one of the best most innovative labels in music period.

I'll play some Rimksy Korsakov a little later this morning, I love his suites.

Far out.

Just yesterday I downloaded a boatload of classical music.

I'm not a student of this genre, so I don't know all the 'concerto in b flat for strings' etc, etc.

I just like to get some now and then, just for a change of pace.

I'm not listening to it right now, but yesterday I listened to chunks of:

That's not all of it, but you get the idea.

I know one thing about classical music. Tchaikovsky was a cat. In this day and age, he'd probably be considered funkier than the others.:gig

Played my Living Presence "Nutcracker Suite" CD yesterday, conducted by Antal Dorati with the London Symphony Orchestra recorded in 1962 and one of the best versions ever done.:mn:

I'm very impressed BlackDahlia, Osmo Vanska is one of the world's foremost interpreters of Sibelius, being Finish himself, so if you decide to investigate the other 6 Sibelius symphonies (which are all tremendous works) then you won't go wrong if you try to get a hold of his versions with the Lahti Orchestra...here --
