Vin Garbutt is an English folk singer and songwriter, he was born in South Bank, Middlesbrough in 1947.
His first album was released in 1972 and he continues to perform to this day.

His shows consist of a mixture of protest songs and comedy, IMHO he reminds me of Billy Connoly as Billy can sing and is a great comedian. He mainly plays folk festivals and is usualy a sell out.

Brilliant! I love Vin Garbutt and used to see him play locally.
Not seen him for some time now, I shall have to remedy that.

Ey - Good 'un Sweat, I've seen Vin a few times and he's a really funny guy. The first time I saw him was at Stainsby about '85 (I think) he did a great show and his style really grabbed my attention. I bought "The By-Pass Syndrome" a few years later.

He is a legend, I have seen him a few times, his voice is fantastic. Shame you can't get his old stuff on CD, he was ripped off by his old manager, got his first live album on vinyl.
