Poll is 2 years old but Van Halen is laying an old fashioned butt whippin' on Axl Rose and company.

Quality does win out in the end...

I thought the first Van Halen album kick started rock 'n roll back into life at a time (late 70's) when all you could hear on the radio was punk and disco, and classic rock was virtually dead, so from that viewpoint it maybe one of the most important albums ever recorded, and like many people I couldn't believe my ears when I first heard it. Nothing against that great Guns ' n Roses record, but the 3 huge singles from it (Jungle, Paradise, Sweet Child) have been so over hyped that to me they have become almost karaoke.
