I'm not old enough to have been alive in the 60s, but have recently discovered that I really like some of the music of the time, particularly the faster pop/rock stuff - I don't even really know for sure what genre it falls into.

Some of the songs in particular I like are "I Fought The Law" (and others) by Bobby Fuller Four, "Mony Mony" (and others) by Tommy James and The Shondells and "Substitute" by The Who. I was wondering if anybody could recommend similar songs or artists, or what genre(s) these are to assist me in searching for more.

Thanks!

My Little Red Book - Love
Little Girl - Syndicate of Sound
Double Shot of My Baby's Love - The Swinging Medallions
I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night - The Electric Prunes
I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight - Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart
Lies - The Knickerbockers
Laugh Laugh - The Beau Brummels
Dizzy - Tommy Roe

As for bands, check out The Turtles, The Monkees, Paul Revere and The Raiders, The Grass Roots and The Lovin' Spoonful. That should be enough to get you started. Enjoy!
