    Too bad people don't know enough about Shawn Lane. Dude was the fastest shredder that ever lived. At just 16 he was with Black Oak at the end of their run in '79.

    Not the best quality..


    Here is a nice one later on in his life...RIP

    I understand how cool/good Shawn was, but his catalog with BOA is something you could fit in a thimble, whereas GT's solo career has lasted for 35 years.

    No questino that Lane was a hell of a guitar player though.

    I like both but guitar ability Lane wipes the floor. Lane's power of ten album was pretty amazing. :grinthumb

    Yup, agreed. Both excellent, but after watching each player many times in concert footage I have to give the win to Frampton, but by a slight margin.
