I do appreciate the effort people put into a series of polls like FireandWater has done, and there is no right or wrong vote, certainly nothing to get irritated about no matter who votes for which artist for whatever reason feels right to them.

People love competiton of any sort, and voting in polls is like cheering on your favorite sports team. Some choices will generate an emotional response more than others, depending on the person of course. Vocalists seem to raise the largest debates. It is fun for me even if I do scream at the comp when my favorites get a beatdown.

It's called passion (since when has that been outlawed?). It's kind of like Charlie Sheen's "bi winning?" Too bad you can't experience the buzz; I think you'd like it.
