Q: Who was Robin Trower's most famous lead singing bassist in the '70s, & what band did he play with before Trower?

*Extra points if you know the even more famous chick vocalist of the earlier band, & what tragedy happened that broke that band up?

OK, I admit I had a little online reference help with this one (so sue me!)

James Dewar played with Stone The Crows, whose chick lead vocalist was Maggie Bell. The tragedy that befell the group was guitarist Les Harvey's onstage electrocution.

OK, I'll go ahead...

In the late 60's, Todd Rundgren was the guitarist, chief songwriter, and sometimes vocalist for The Nazz. He left the band in '69 and they carried on for a time without him. Two members of this future, big time, arena rock/power pop band played in a later version of The Nazz. They hit it big in the later 70's and are still around today.Name the two musicians and the band they made it big in.

(Hint - Todd Rundgren produced them in the early 80's)

I'm not sure but I think Thom Mooney and something like Stookey(sp?) played with Rundgren in Nazz and they later formed a band called "Fuse". Fuse had Rick Nielsen of Cheep Trick fame and they added Peterson (later of Cheep Trick too) on bass when Mooney left the group.

Anyhow that's my guess....sorta......:D

Thom Mooney was the drummer and Stewkey was the lead singer/keyboardist.

Q. What short lived "Super Group" was formed by Tim Bogert, Carmine Appice, Jim McCarty and Rusty Day lasting from 1970 to 1972? (They've been back a couple of times those prickly rockers :D)

What 70's rockers boasted,at various times, several ex-Steely Dan members or sidemen in their lineup.
Name the band and as many ex-Steely Dan musicians as you can.

Good one! Also I believe Willie Weeks had done some session work with Steely Dan and I think there was another Doobie (maybe Bobby LaKind?) who had played in the studio with Steely Dan.

Your turn.
