1. Noora Louhimo - Solo, Battle Beast, Pentakill, Laurenne/Louhimo, many more...
My absolute no.1, been waiting forever for one person to check all the boxes, and it arrived from Finland. She can sing anything, and does. Massive power, endless stage energy and presence, good person in an industry full of a-holes.
2. Ann Wilson - Heart.
Was my ultimate vocalist, the "cool" non-metal person for a metalhead to like in the 80's, saw her live, top notch.
3. Guernica Mancini - Solo, The Gems, Thundermother.
Great on album, great live, Sweden has created a lot of great voices, this is one of them.
4. Belinda Carlyle - Solo, Go Go's
First singer I really liked, still find her raspiness appealing after decades of listening.
5. Debbie Harry - Blondie
Hard not to like someone with such a unique voice and willing to try different things on their albums. Unique.
6. Daniela Villarreal - The Warning
Love her voice and also is their only guitarist, impressive in all respects (except their fans are just like Swifties - but that's not her fault).
7, Kate Pierson - B-52's
Even if their songs start to get on my nerves after decades to hearing them, her voice never does. Great stage presence, been around forever.
8. Robyn Adele Anderson - Post Modern Jukebox
Embraces the 1940's sound and appearance very well, this is my "go to" when I want something different.
9. Martha Davis - Motels
Yeah only really had 2 hits, but I have played them to death over decades and never tire of her voice...pure early 80's goodness.
10. Mona Lindgren - Solo, backing for Thundermother, The Gems
Nice voice, solo work is unique, bonus for talking to me via instagram about her music...it was appreciated. More Swedish goodness.
