Tom Petty - "Highway Companion"

Has anybody heard this album? If yes, what do you think?

I didn't like it at first, but after I played it 5 or 6 times, it has grown on me. It's very mellow and filled with good lyrics (which is what I like the most), and I'm a big fan of everything Tom Petty does, so, I guess, I was doomed to like it from the start

I think it's incredible. Up there with Tom's best, maybe. SO MANY great lyrics, aren't there? Really cool music too. I think Tom is the best current songwriter, at least out of the people I listen to (which is an unfortunate few for current songwriters).

You bet! This is an awesome album, after all. I've been playing it a lot lately, I think I have memorized all the songs by now

I find it to be mediocre. Perhaps it will get better after a few more listens.

I was thinking about getting it, but seeing how it got a few so so reviews here I might not now. Petty is pretty solid most the time.

Finally got around to giving it a listen all the way through. I think it's certainly among his best work. Nice to see classic rockers still putting out quality stuff.

I was always a Petty fan but after Echo I thought that was it for the boy,but since most of you give it a positive note,I'll pick it up and give a chance.
