Had an awesome compilation of the band's many great works for a while on CD.Many fantastic examples of how black R&B becacme a major component of rock and roll.I really love the rather raucous "Smokestack Lightning" but really anything on the set was pure gold,including "For Your Love",which was the reason Eric Clapton left the band because he didn't want involvement in a group that he felt was heading more into the pop arena.Clapton,of course,is mostly known for his stellar blues performances and recordings only with exceptons like the regagge "I Shot the Sherrif" and "Lay Down Sally" among maybe a few other of his better know songs.However,even when God occasionally strayed from his blues roots,he still turned in some very fine top forty fare...............
