I haven't really been able to get into Al Green for some reason. I've tried but it doesn't stick. Marvin is my favorite artist on the list followed by Bill Withers but I think the most classic standard on the list and most soulful is A Change is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke!

All of them are great Soot:grinthumb

Yes Marvin is the king imo..Sam and Otis died too soon but look at HOW much great music they put out?!

Sam Cooke was someone my mum listened too alot when I was a kid..what voice !

Al Green takes some listening I guess ..but he's so funky soul

Sam Cooke is an artist I want to hear more and buy more from. I love the song but I haven't explored him a lot beyond that yet! I have one Al Green hits collection but honestly haven't been fair with it I suppose! :heheh: I love absolutely everything from Marvin and Bill I've heard but Cooke and Redding are still artist that need further exploration for me! :)
