The Slackers are a Ska band formed in 1991 in New York City. Their sound is very interestiong with the mix of Ska, reggae, soul, garage rock, and jazz. Although not a punk band, they signed to the punk label Hellcat Records after going on tour in North America and Europe. They are also signed to Moon Ska Records.

It's difficult to find a completely horrible album by them, so any one of their albums I would recommend giving a listen. For highly recommended, I would say Redlight, The Question, Wasted Days, and Peculiar. :grinthumb
All great albums.
