This list, at first glance, seems to get more exciting as the numbers get higher and higher. Nice to see God Only Knows so high up there though. Big Pimpin' and In Da Club... wow. Cool that they recognized MGMT too. :grinthumb

*yawn* Thanks for the list... however the yawn is because it hardly ever seems to change, especially the top spots. For the life of me, I will NEVER understand how LARS by Dylan tops these lists. Then again, I guess that just continues to give me fodder for calling it the most overrated song ever recorded. *shrug*. Nirvana in the top 10 also makes the list even less legit.

I like all the Beatles, Beach Boys, Jimi Hendrix, Kinks and Who songs. RS could almost take any of their tracks and put them into any list. There are of course omissions, but I am not sure how the later pop and rap tracks constitute greatness. Inclusion of the B-52s is just silly. Is the mention of Rolling Stone at numbers one and two merely a coincidence, or is it because it accords with the name of the publication that produced the list?

Because it's the most important, if not the best, rock 'n roll song ever recorded. :D
