A truly wonderful group! They released their first recordings in 1927; The group consisted of SARA CARTER on Autoharp and Lead Vocals; A.P. CARTER (SARA'S HUSBAND) on Background Vocals; and MAYBELLE CARTER (SARA'S SISTER-IN-LAW) on Lead Acoustic Guitar and Harmonies.
