Steelheart - Lips of Rain
Black Stone Cherry - Things My Father Said
This song pulls at my heart strings EVERY single time that I hear it. I'm fortunate enough to have two great parents that are both still with us. So, I don't have that loss in my life, however, when I listen to this song, I get the feeling deep down in my heart and in my gut of what it would feel like to lose one (or both) of them. I can't imagine how horrible that feels. This song just gets to me. Love the feeling in the music, love the lyrics. I pray that I never know the feeling of that loss, although we all know that day is inevitable.
Avenged Sevenfold - Acid Rain
Tuesday's Gone - Lynyrd Skynyrd
I don't remember this song. Starts out decent, but really picked up steam as it got further into the song. Pretty cool.
This is why I like this thread, getting exposure (even though they are older songs) to stuff that I either don't remember or maybe never heard in the first place. There aren't many that fit that role, but once in a while.
