The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band began in California in 1966 as a country jug band and have been performing ever since. TNGDB is one of the most versatile bands of all time, not just a novelty act, but recognized over time as one of the better country rock bands. TNGDB has even performed with such bands as Aerosmith and was the FIRST American band to ever perform in Russia.

What a great band! I used to have a few of their albums back in the day....now all I have is Acoustic from `94.
