I had most of it in my notebook (which sounds odd to a lot of people, but I do a lot of writing - I'm not typically seen without a writing utensil). :)

It was a matter of posting after sorting.

I did things in small chunks.

But it was mostly something I thought up, in my notebook, with some variants to fill spaces.

A very impressive effort to be sure.

She's cheated a bit in places though. For example, "I Need a Man to Love" is by Big Brother & the Holding Company. A chick singer does not make a band a girl group.

I read once that years later Shelley was deeply involved with the feminist movement during the time, and said that she regretted ever recording that song. Despite her feelings about it, I think it's one of the most adorably innocent songs ever written. :)

Well a feminist who actually walks the walk, i.e. succeeds at something in the real world as opposed to just talks the talk, would probably have cuffed her on the head and told her to get real. Recording a hit record is an achievement, which is the bottom line for forward thinking women. The mouthpieces that call themselves feminists do nothing but whine and compain; real feminists actually do things.

BTW, what is it you didn't like about a lot of the fifty girl group hits I posted a few weeks ago?
