My local dealer still has a lot of RSD releases left + some of the releases only just arrived this week, with more to come next week.

    Today's haul:

The Stooges - The Stooges Detroit Edition (Record Store Day 2018 exclusive: The Stooges first LP with a bonus LP including tracks lifted from the deluxe Stooges CD box. Includes some tracks appearing on vinyl exclusively for the first time. Limited edition of 8000 copies).

For you vinylphiles, have you ever cleaned your records with wood glue? I wouldn't have ever imagined this could be a good idea, but then I've never been a collector. I've only bought records when I had no other choice.

I have no idea why this popped up in my YT "recommended" list.

No, I generally clean my vinyl with an anti-static brush and my needle with a Mr. Clean Magic Foam pad. If the vinyl is in serious need of a scrubbing I wash my vinyl in hot water while scrubbing with disk soap and a non abrasive sponge.
Rinse with cold water , dry with 100 cotton cloth and then set out to dry for about 30 mins. I will also clean with a small amount of rubbing alcohol at times.

    Works excellent.

I remember the kits with alcohol and velvety cylinders. I could imagine them leaving more dirt than they clean, but again, I never got into collector territory.

There are many more YT videos with the wood glue.

My method works amazingly well. Not only removes pops but also skips that are cause by dirt in the grooves. there isn't an album in my collection that crackles.

The wood glue thing is something I would never bother with myself ( though I have seen the videos years ago ) unless I find something really rare that is EXTREMELY dirty... then I might try it. Other than that it's not necessary , IMO.
