The Head and The Heart are a group of modern day folky uplifting bohemian styled music that makes me want to become a hippy. That's saying something because I really don't like hippies! :heheh: Anyway, these guys play with such passion, such purity and beautifully melded harmonies. The first song to hook me was the single off of this album:

The song, "Lost In My Mind" starts out so simply with a strumming and a great vocal tone. In fact there is nothing complex about this song but it's a warm spiritual type of song that just makes you feel cozy and festive at the same time. The vocal tone is perfect and the Hoo Hooos harmony is a hallelujah type uplifting vibe. I want to be in that circle of singers contributing an off key but WTF addition to the song. Songs like this are art as much as music.

    Lost In my Mind

Here's some slow intimate and delicate tracks! The live versions will have your soul in awe at their angelic beauty:

    Winter Song

    Rivers and Roads
(love how they get the perfect acoustics in their live settings, really adds the most haunting touch)

And we'll bring the energy back up with a bouncy old groove:

    Coeur D'Alene

I'm definitely getting this albumj on my next shopping trip! Really great band! :cheers2

Believe it or not I do love the intimate performances but my fav is still the catchy single "Lost In My Mind". There's something so simply moving and fun about it! :grinthumb

No thank you Garrett! I skipped to the single "Lost In My Mind" and saw a lot of good moments throughout. I definitely need to watch the whole thing. Austin City Limits seems to highlight a lot of artists I like! :cheers2

Watching this clip right here I'm reminded that The Civil Wars weren't the only group in 2011 with goosepimple stellar vocal harmonies! :)
