My Dad listened to them a lot so... so did I :D I like the irish, I like folk music so... they're cool in my book.

I once caught them doing a soundcheck, pretty long one too. Bunch of old guys sitting around playing, pretty cool - must've been 65 or 70 years old. On AVERAGE! :heheh:

Must have been around early '06-ish.

My advice is pick up the original Dubliners double cd set on EMI, give me a shout if you want any info:)

Right now my Dad is playing Luke Kelly (from The Dubliners) singing "The Shoals Of Herring". He really does have a very good voice!! :grinthumb

I have same parental mix as Luke ........... Irish father, Scottish mother.

Great band, I only got to see them the one time but Ronnie and the lads were brilliant and I must confess I did sample a drop of "The Rare Old Mountain Dew" that night.

I never new The Young Dubliners existed, will have to check them out and give em a listen, thanks for that info dazedandconfused:)
