I don't own a lot of their albums, but I do have Look Ma, No Head. After checking out this thread I think I'll be picking up more of the "older" classics.
Glad to see you guys appreciate the awesomeness that is the Cramps
Look Mom No Head is the next one up and another one of my favorites, Phil.
Cool Live video Buck, have you guys ever seen the DVD
The CRAMPS Live at Napa State Mental Hospital ? Talk about crazy l
Lo-Fi but killer anyway. The whole crowd is just as loony as Lux lol
Later on in the concert two loony chicks keep grabbing the mic when Lex sets it down and scream all crazy into it A lot of
it sounds like stuff Lux himself might do at those those points in a song
Great footage DKW ! Im sure theres a chap that looks like me there in the crowd Not that you have to be CRAZEE to see the CRAMPS ......Just been playing the " Psychedelic Jungle" album in the car.....great stuff,GREAT drivin music...open the sun roof let everyone hear !!
Great thread, I have the DVD of the live concert at the mental hospital and I have, "Off The Bone" and "Bad Music For Bad People". Great band shame I never saw them
So It's been 8 years since my last installment here ...I think I might be slacking a bit...lol
The Cramps - Look Mom No Head 1991,
was another killer hard driving Psychobilly buckdown. Why any fan of the debut would play the "I'm too cool to like newer Cramps releases" game is beyond me. Whenever I've ask the usual responce I get from people who were fans but dismissed the later material has been that they hadn't actually bothered to listen to It because of the internet nay sayers. listen to a few examples and decide for yourself.
