Easily The Ramones for me. In fact I think it's about time to pull out my punk rock CD booklet and give them an ear

Back in the '70s when the punk movement was in full swing I could'nt stand it. But now I've grown to appreciate it a little more & between these two bands I'll go with The Ramones.

Abstaining. The Clash have a true masterpiece in the London Calling album but the Ramones have so many great songs that both of them are equal in my eyes.

Going back on this. After doing some listening to both groups, the Ramones just don't have an album that comes close to the Clash's London Calling. On the strength of that, the Clash gets the vote.

I don't "get" The Ramones at all. I like the song Blitzkreig Bop and thats about it. I owned "Rocket to Russia", "Subterranean Jungle" and "Mondo Bizarro" so i gave them a chance.
My vote goes to The Clash becuase "London Calling" was the best album of 1979 imo.
