After THE CHAMELEONS originally split 1987 Mark Burgess formed THE SUN AND THE MOON. Their sound not a million miles away from "strange times" period CHAMELEONS.
.......after that came MARK BURGESS AND THE SONS OF GOD .

THE SUN AND THE MOON released only one album of the same name in 1988....it was reissued under the name "The great escape" in 1999 with extra tracks
Picture of England/The boy who sees everything

THE CHAMELEONS guitarists Dave Fielding and Reg Smithies excellent but short lived band THE REEGS recorded 2 albums...which I imagine nowadays would be extremely rare. Oh how Id love these in my record collection !
THE REEGS Discography
Return of the sea monkeys 1991
Rock the magic rock 1993

Yet again keeping the trademark echo/chimey guitarwork
Dream police/The nasty side

BLACK SWAN LANE are a musical project featuring Mark Burgess and a couple of chaps from US band THE MESSENGERS Very impressive sounds :grinthumb. I really need to check these out.....

Excellent news ! My son has purchased some tickets to see CHAMELEONS VOX at the Acadamy 2 in Manchester. What a great birthday present :grinthumb. It will be great to see them again on their own turf....always a great atmosphere. They are playing different sets Friday/Saturday Dec19th/20th...we are going for both nights.
The band have been working on a new album, hopefully out soon.

The Chameleons Vox line up contains only one original Mark Burgess .[ bass and vocals ] Other members guitarists Neil Dwerryhouse and Chris Oliver with Yves Altana drums [?]
What happened to original guitarists Smithies and Fielding after THE REEGS I don't know .
CHAMELEONS VOX have an E.p out [4 tracks inc cover to The Beatles...Across the Universe] The new album will be called "Eden and the end of the world "

It's too bad that the band get over their differences and stay together to play the old hits. Then again, I hate it when bands try to make new music in their later years when their creative skills have declined. And if you heard the album they put out when they reformed for a bit in 2000, you can tell that it wasn't the same band. Not a bad record but not the Chams that I know from the 80s. IMO, they never should've reformed.
