This thread is about what bands have the best shock value. This could mean antics, reputation lyrical subject matter, visual presentation.

Here are some of my picks

Ozzy, Marilyn Manson, WASP, Alice Cooper, Green Jello/Jelly.

Though I don't necessarily like all of Manson's music or Green Jelly's.

^^^ That was by the way, The Macc Lads - from Wiki "The Macc Lads were a punk and hard rock band from Macclesfield, UK. Self-proclaimed "rudest, crudest, lewdest, drunkest band in Christendom", The Macc Lads became notorious for their irreverent and foul-mouthed lyrics, political incorrectness, drinking, sexism and homophobia."

The Sex Pistols have to get a mention in this thread!

I liked The Macc Lads Tray "He'll eat yer pies, he'll tell yer lies, you won't believe that Fat Ba***rds size" to the tune of "Blockbuster" The Sweet. Excellent. :)

Why doesn't Kiss ''shock'' us in a good way...

and bring back Ace and Peter.

:cheers2

That blood thing is old...and I never found shocking, but dumb. I remember the first time I saw Kiss on the reunion comeback tour back in 1996 - the first notes of ''God Of Thunder'', I knew the blood was coming...and I went for a piss..lol...true story.

Gene Simmons blowing 8 foot flames out of his mouth - now, that was cool.
:grinthumb

Cool, but not shocking. Maybe in the beginning it was shocking.
