I prefer Brain Salad Surgery to Tarkus, but will agree with LG that the Debut is a pretty special album, too.

First listened to it somewhere in the 70's, thought mmmmmmmmm....

Then I tried it again some years later, thought it was musical wanckery.

Tried it again yesterday, and thought it was.........musical wanckery again.:)

I ranked it a 9: Superb! I think it would be between the range of 8.5-8.9 for me, so I rounded up~
So many great tracks I love on this album, The Only Way, A Time and a Place, and of course Tarkus is epic. I listen to this album quite frequently... I would rank Trilogy and Brain Salad slightly higher :cheers2

Superb (9). I don't really like "Are You Ready Eddy?", but the rest of it is some really exciting, often whimsical, energetic music with a spirit of imagination.
