A eponymous supergroup formed by Tak Matsumoto, guitarist for Japanese rock staple B'z, TMG saw him supported by Mr. Big frontman Eric Martin on lead vocals, Night Ranger bassist/singer Jack Blades and future Whitesnake drummer Chris Frazier (Despite touring and appearing in the promotional videos, Frazier was a late additon to the band. Drum duties on the album were handled by session musicians Brian Tichy and Cindy Blackman).
These guys have delivered one studio album (and a live video), 2004's TMG I, a strong bluesy melodic hard rock album, which whilst trying a little too hard to be modern in parts, is in essence, very much a "classic rock" record.
