I was going to post this in the Concert Forum but it says I have "insufficient privileges" to post threads there. Not sure what that means.

Anyway, you can check out my review of the Styx, Foreigner & John Waite concert in Mansfield, MA on August 2nd, 2024 via this KNAC.COM link.

That’s my fault, Jay. When I restored the forum I didn’t make sure the permissions to post were fixed, too.
Forum permissions now fixed fixed!

Thanks Magic! The review is going well so far. It was shared on John Waite's FB page and the PR person for Styx and/or Foreigner sent feedback to the photographer. He shared the message with me.

Nice review. Saw Styx in '76, and Foreigner in '81. Both were top notch shows then. And in fact when I saw Styx they were not the headliners. Bill was Head East-Styx-Foghat (All for $6).

And good to see these, because I have been hesistant to visit the Casino Circuits, to see my old bands. Figured it might be too sad to see.

Just to be clear, this was at the Xfinity Center not a casino. I've heard these tours referred to as Legacy Acts and/or tours but never Casino Circuits.

Great idea to share your concert impressions! It might be worth considering creating a collaborative list of favorite songs that fans would like to hear at future concerts? This could be an interesting challe nge for the bands and an engaging experience/ for fans to influence the setlis;)!

Saw Styx at Great Woods in '91 and in '96. Both with Dennis DeYoung still there. Both times they were great.
I'm not really into them, but they are still putting out quality albums and people I respect really like them and still support them.

I also saw Dennis DeYoung at...EPCOT..lol. He was amazing, and the "Tommy Shaw Dude" in his band was better than Tommy Shaw!!

But I am definitely one of those guys that considers Foreigner a cover band. I get not every band of that age is going to have all original members but...NONE?? Honestly, I'd have more respect if it was Kelly And The Hansens Play The Music Of Foreigner. I actually think it's kind of a joke.

I don't get to as many shows as I was a few years back but when I do, I tend to be doing a review of them. So I'll continue to share the links when they go up.

But I don't want fans influencing setlists that much. Because other people have their favorites and I have mine. So let the band decide and we'll all get at least some of what we like.

And the varied opinions are what make are musical world go round. I do appreciate those who feel differently than I do, but I enjoyed what I saw and I'm not going to take away from that.
