Does anyone know the band Strawberry Alarm Clock? I got 2 cd's of them but didn't get a chance to listen yet. Just wanted to know if anyone here knows them.

They're not that famous so I don't expect a lot of replies but if anyone does, it would be appreciated

They were good bck in their day but I am not sure how well they have passed the test of time. Incense and Peppermint is a good tune though.

I remember them well but only for their song Incense and Peppermint. Ed King, a guitarist in the band, went on to play with the original Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The song Incense & Peppermint is a great tune. Everything else is sub-par. Some OK tunes but nothing great.

The story I believe is - Strawberry Alarm Clock were not a 1960s psychedelic rock group and hated Incense & Peppermints so much none of the band members sang that song. Instead they got someone who was associated with one of the band members (relative or someone who was in their family) to sing Incense & Peppermints! Which is why the guy who sings that song isn't featured on any other Strawberry Alarm Clock song! At least I think that's how the story goes, I think I read about it on Wikipedia. As for their other music, I think it's not bad, but Incense & Peppermints always stands out for some reason cause it sounds so modern (or at least that's what I thought when I heard it in the 80s or something!) :D
