I watched this Crossroads collaboration last night. The music was decent. These two performed quite a few soft & mellow songs together. Sting really does have a beautiful voice.
Here’s the complete set list:
Liza Jane
Fields of Gold
Whenever You Come Around
If I Ever Lose My Faith In You
These Days
Shape of My Heart
Don’t Let Our Love Start Slippin’ Away
Let It Be Me
Every Breath You Take
What I enjoyed the most was the pickin' these two did together. Vince Gill used the electric guitar and acoustic with Sting on the bass and his mini-martin .
They did quite a bit of 'interview' type chats, too, which were neat. They both agreed that at this point in their career's (both of which are over 30+ years in the music biz) they are very picky and selective in their songwriting. Sting said "There is no way I will get onstage in spandex again and try to act like I am 20 years old and pump out any music that comes to my mind".
The show was definitely worth the 1.5 hours I spent watching
