Spock's Beard's releases basically sound the same to me. Over-produced, highly polished, neo-prog/prog-pop and Morse's lyrics are pretentious and predictable. A typical modern, mainstream Yes/Genesis/Camel/Gentle Giant recycling.

On the other hand, Transatlantic is much more diverse which isn't surprising with the personnel. Nothing groundbreaking but a brilliant endeavor of classic prog especially, 'Bridge Across Forever'.

Ditto what I said above about Spocks Beard with regard to Transatlantic. With Transatlantic I really tried to like them and I found the music a bit easier to take than with Spocks Beard but Morses cheezee lyrics and particularly his constant references and innuendo regarding his religious beliefs really put me off.

I couldn't get through The Neal Morse Band, 'The Similitude of a Dream' from 2016. Almost two hours long. It wasn't bad from what I did hear. I don't mind religious/Christian lyrics but I agree with you on Morse's bombastic lyrics.

Great band...just posted 2 tracks from 'V ' on the video thread.....
All the early stuff is fantastic before Morse left but even the later material is good.
A shorter favorite from KIndness of Strangers....'Strange World'
....very interesting lyrics......
