I love this site, but am saddened that that the "latest post" section which should be used as a great member news feed is being ruined by foreign spam. Are there any filters out there to root this out?

If there is no solution, I understand.... Just a thought.

The owners have filters out the wazoo on this forum.

The problem is these posters are posting for the first time and none of the spam companies have any info on their IP address which will show
clean and no spamming until they attack whatever site they just joined.

I work nights so when I get home I have the night shift here cleaning up any spam that shows up.

When I sign off the other mods take over.

Please just keep reporting the spam in case
it gets buried with newer posts.

If I don't see anything on the right side of the screen for new posts I do click on "New Posts"
under the word forum to see what was posted
while I was gone.

Thank you for your help!

I cleaned up a lot of foreign spam last night.

I usually log in every morning and again every evening (late).

Our forum has filters that catches the bot spammers but the actual people who sign up and spam are impossible to catch until after they deposit their foreign spam.

The staff does their best to keep spam away and still keep the forum open for anyone to join.

I don’t want to start having to approve all new members. However, that could be possible if we start getting a lot of spam or trolls.

I had to do that on the site I am a co-admin on.. We were exposed to some kind of bot net.. Spam on every base!!

For years now I have had new users on admin approval and only a few legit ppl have tried to register!

Spammers really suck...

It seems like the spammers come in waves. I just spam cleaned about 4 of them.

It gets very annoying!
