A case could be made either way for the Foreigner track, dropped as a single in late 1984, topped the charts and was one of the biggest hits of 1985. Let's not over-police this stuff. Furthermore, let's not flat-out REMOVE other people's songs. Let them know your thoughts on a song and move on. IF the song is off by several years, the same unwritten rule could/should apply. Let someone correct their own nomination. If a song from multiple years before/after the current year s still in at the end, then maybe we can have a discussion about it before moving forward. Remember, these are supposed to be fun. We already had one person ruin or partially ruin these for multiple people in the past.

Does this make sense, and also, does it sound fair?
