Soot and Stars
I AM SOOT!
Simon and Garfunkel

Official Website
1964 Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.
1966 Sounds of Silence
1966 Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme
1968 Bookends
1970 Bridge Over Troubled Water
Right now I'm asking myself "Is there anyone who doesn't like Simon and Garfunkel?" And my head answers "Of course there is silly! This is a music forum! There's always at least one detractor!"
In all seriousness though, Simon and Garfunkel are the duo who are mellow enough and safe enough to be sung in your high school chorus class and be accepted by your grandmother and at the same time be in a hard rock fans collection without much irony. These guys harmonized together better than any other duo in rock history. Even with a rocky relationship these guys were cohesive enough to write some classic songs that have become staples in the fabric of American musical culture.
I'm more familiar and a fan of the staples than their rarities so I'll contribute three that I love:
Sounds of Silence
Mrs. Robinson
Hazy Shade of Winter
