From everything I've heard about this guy, he was a completely greedy tool. The actors in most of the TV shows he was involved in didn't get shit for residuals.

Aside from that, I grew up on the Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island. Two great memories from my childhood and for creating those, I do salute him. RIP.

Exactly why I, and everyone else I suspect, didn't bother with this.

He might've been a "greedy tool" but I feel the need to further mention some love/respect for what his mind brought to my youth.

That's a coincidence, I was channel surfing a couple of nights ago and stumbled across Gilligan's Island on the Christian Network of all places. I watched the episode and like Lynch had flashbacks to when I was a youngster watching our Black & White TV...color for my family didn't come for a long time.

I've heard the same things, it's too bad they couldn't have sued him for the rightful share of the syndication rights, that is only fair.

But I don't want to speak ill of the dead, so RIP Sherwood.

    Slightly off-topic, but.

I love black and white programming.

^^I am not surprised Lady, and I agree I Hate seeing Any of the old Classic movies colorized...it takes away from the original art form.

But from what I understand so many younger people won't watch a B&W movie or show period, so that's when studios started colorizing old movies and releasing them again, if nothing else maybe the kids will watch "A Christmas Carol" with Alistair Sim in color and then watch the Stunning original.

I have both versions. I watch one of them, usually the B&W, every Christmas Eve.
