. The album featured an all-star line-up with contributions from Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page (who also produced the album) and John Bonham, guitarist Jeff Beck, session keyboardist Nicky Hopkins, session guitarist Deniel Edwards and Jimi Hendrix Experience bassist Noel Redding. Rick Brown and Carlo Littlewere previously with the Savages.

this album has also been voted quite a few times as the worst album ever recorded. Have a listen, if you can handle it…:banghead:

I live in Buffalo, NY
In the Early/Mid 60’s from what I read over the years Ritchie Blackmore played in his Live bands at times… I was not familiar with Screaming Lord Sutch until the early 2000’s when I seen a video online of him singing a song called Jack the Ripper and my first thought was he had to influence Alice Cooper because he walked through the crowd to get to the stage harassing the girls while wearing ghoulish Make-up, a black cape, and Black top hat… I have no idea if Alice ever seen Or heard Sutch seeing as Lord Sutch was mainly in England. I came across a used copy of Lord Sutch and Heavy Friends and I actually didn’t mind the record….

I have several of his cd/albums starting with 'The Savages' recordings circa 1964/65 and the album Lord Such and Heavy Friends that he recorded with guest's such as Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Noel Redding who was Jimi Hendrix old bass player between 1966-1969 with the album being recorded circa 1970 plus a live album featuring Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple and Keith Moon of the Who that was recorded around 1971 or 1972 which is basically all 50s rock 'n' roll plus several of Lord Such originals and I do still occasionally play these cd/albums to this day.

Its not the worst lp imho...there are many crappy records out there.......his vocals are stinky but some of the guitar work from Page is ok and you have Page, Beck, Bonham ,Hopkins, and Redding playing with some decent licks here and there.
I recall many at college in 1970 having the lp but it didnt get played often.
