Ritual is a Swedish band in the folk-prog genre, although they often sound more like Yes than Jethro Tull.
Anyway, the album in question is in my opinion a masterpiece. 9/10 at least.

The album is somewhat based on the Moomin-characters by the finnish author Tove Jansson. Generally we're talking high quality, but the last track is just staggering. It's called "A Dangerous Journey" and clocks in at a little under 27 minutes.
It contains everything a fan of retro-prog could want. Innovative instrumentation, great lyrics and vocals and extremely well performed.

    I love this album. :grinthumb

Just finished listening to some tracks from this album and thier first. Excellent. Definitley Yes influenced with Gentle Giant and Jethro Tull. The couple of tracks from the first album I heard remind me a bit of Queen as well and the vocalist sounds similar to that of James Labrie of Dream Theater.

The Swedes do a good job on most "retro" stuff from the 70's I've heard.

Definitely a band I will check further into.:grinthumb

Just gave 'er a listen. Superb.:grinthumb

A very eclectic album. The vocalist is a hyrid of James Labrie and Freddie Mercury IMO. It works very well. I will check out thier s/t debut also.

^^I have a copy now, but haven't played it yet.

I will remedy that later today, after I finish shoveling the snow that fell overnight.
