i was lucky enough to have seen Lizzy 5 times but unfortunately i never saw the classic line up when Robbo was in the band, it was just a tad before my time...i would loved to have seen them with Robbo....i saw Lizzy 4 times in Liverpool and the Reading Festival appearance...first time i saw them was the year after Robbo left, it was at Liverpool Empire with Gary Moore in the band, it was the last night of the '79 UK Black Rose tour ( one of the best gigs i have ever been to ) later that year when Lizzy were over in the States on their US Black Rose tour Gary walked out halfway through the tour..the following year 1980 again at Liverpool Empire i saw them on the Chinatown tour with Snowy White now in the band, that was an excellent gig., then the year after that, again at Liverpool Empire, and still with Snowy, i saw them on the 1981 Renegade tour but they had lost some of their fire by then, Snowy was getting well n truly tired of Lynotts and Gorhams partying and drug taking...Snowy quit Lizzy for the exact same reasons that Gary Moore did.. and then John Sykes came in for the Thunder and Lightning album and farewell tour, saw them in Liverpool again in early '83 with John but it wasn't the Empire this time, it was the Liverpool Royal Court theatre close by, Sykes gave Lizzy a much deserved kick up the backside...and then my 5th and final time was later in August '83 at Reading Festival...great memories..they were a fantastic band but those goddamn drugs ruined them.
Amazing. Seriously.

I wouldn't see my first concert until 1983, when I was 14, but the show included Gary Moore!!
Saw Gary Moore again in 1987. Blessed to do so.

Nice one., i saw Gary Moore at Manchester Apollo in September 1985 and Phil Lynott came out for the encores, 3 months later and Phil was dead...Also saw Gary Moore in 1982 at Royal Court Liverpool when he had Ian Paice on drums on the 'Corridors of Power' tour..good gig that was but it was absolutely freezing inside that venue.

Best gig i have ever been to was Rory Gallagher at Liverpool University 1981..He was awesome...he was doing a tour of the UK playing all the universities in all the major British cities..it was dubbed his 'University Challenge Tour.'..There was nobody like Rory, he was special.

Yup, Corridors Of Power. That show was Def Leppard, Krokus, & Gary Moore, so he was the first band that I ever saw on stage. His band was Ian Paice, Neil Murray, and Neil Carter (because Don Airey couldn't do the US tour). Even at that age, I was a huge UFO fan so seeing Neil Carter was great too.

In 1987, his band was Carter, Bon Daisley and Eric Singer.

I took this pic..

Thin Lizzy - Emerald...recorded at Reading Festival '83...Superb, Gorham and Sykes trading blows and then John rips into a spellbinding solo....This pic is the cover of the CD i have of Lizzys performance at Reading, but why they chose to have a pic of Lizzy with Snowy baffled me.
I have the cd for many years but have never played it?.

I once bought the Blue Murder cd back in the mid/late 1990s also featuring Carmine Appice on drums and Tony Franklin on bass along with John on guitar.
