RIP John Harrison, original Hawkwind bassist

John Harrison has died of Huntigton's disease, on the 18th June 2011, just a few days from his 70th birthday. He was a founding member of Hawkwind and remained for about a year, during which time he played on their first groundbreaking album.

Missed out on Hawkwind back in my teenage years, but caught up a few years ago. Very underrated progressive band, some of their albums are spectacular.
