The debut album was released March 1977 exclusively in Japan and features Randy Rhoads.

Back to the Coast (written by Randy & Kelle Rhoads as teenagers)

I bought both Randy Rhoads QR albums several years ago. Mint copies too.

Best purchase ever. 2 great yet (for obvious reasons) overlooked albums.

Me being a Randy fan, I definitely enjoy those albums. I agree, they are not only overlooked but underrated.

It boggles the mind why these 2 albums weren't re-released in the mid-80's, when QR was huge, or even why they got Japan only releases in the first place.

The CD Quiet Riot-The Randy Rhoads Years is a great release. Tracks from the two 1970's albums (some with different titles, some unreleased), all remixed with new vocals (except one track).

From my understanding, it was Randy who never wanted QR I & II to ever be released in the USA....and his family honored his wishes after his death.

I never picked up DuBrows The Rhoads Years.

Interesting though......Quiet Riot did remake one song from the Rhoads period......Slick Black Cadillac......they don't even sound like the same song!

Rhoads Version

I forgot how good QR is. I always thought Quiet Riot was over when Dubrow left but now that I’ve been listening to Shortino vocals, I am kinda liking the direction they went on QR.

Here's a piece of Rock trivia for Quiet Riot fans.
Before Quiet Riot had named themselves, Rick Parfitt of STATUS QUO was hangin' out with the Band members.
Rick suggested they call the Band "Quite Right" which is a very British comment to make.
The Band mis-heard what Rick had said.
Rick loved telling that story.

RIP- Rick Parfitt
