For any of you who are audiophiles, a quick word on sound quality. Some of those original releases sound pretty muddy, and if you have a nice stereo and a good ear, I highly recommend picking up the Steve Hoffman mastered version of A Night at the Opera on the DCC label. Either vinyl or CD, both are really a big improvement. Short of that, even the Hollywood remasters are a nice improvement over the original CDs. I haven't gotten around to comparing the Hollywood CDs to the original vinyl releases..... but if anyone requests I will.

I like the story about the land of Rhye and how Freddie dreamed this up with his sister when they were little. There are references to this fantasy land in several of their songs. Seven Seas of Rhye (obviously), March of the Black Queen, Lily of the Valley, and My Fairy King.

I love Queen. I remember when A Day At The Races came out with that gatefold photo inside of Freddy. My brother and I kind of looked at each other..... "Do you think he's..... ***??" "...... NAAAAHHHHH!" He's a rock star.

Oh how naive we were.
