The albums was a covers album and the song covered was Amie! The very next day I went digging through Wal-Marts $5 bin and found a collection by these guys. I'm really liking it. It has the harmonies I love in country groups like Alabama with the Country Rock sound I really like in groups like Restless Heart growing up. I read these guys had an identity crisis musically which I think benefits as I like the variety from song to song. I even hear some Jazz elements like in "Let me Love You Tonight" and rock guitar solos like "I Can't Stop This Feeling". I always like groups with a base sound that change it up. Hear are the songs I'm digging including some I knew but wasn't aware off! Amie, Let Me Love You Tonight & I Can't Stop This Feeling [GROOVESHARK]4331077[/GROOVESHARK]
Re: Pure Prairie League I also have a best-of of theirs that I love. I think they belong right up there with bands like Poco and the Flying Burrito Brothers. Thanks Soots for jogging the old memory bank.
Re: Pure Prairie League No problem Bob! Is the best of look like the one I have?: Fever, I had no idea Vince Gill was involved in this group. I had always written him off but then again I used to be very selective of Country at the time. I may buy his solos seeing they are also largely in that 5 dollar bin!
Re: Pure Prairie League Surprised to see this one from you, Sooty Certainly not upset though Another great, 70s country rock band.. My dad got me into them, I knew Amie and Two Lane Highway, but I have 2 albums, maybe three from them.. Love this one off of Bustin' Out
Re: Pure Prairie League This is the one I have. I dug it out after reading your thread. Thanks again Soots.
