Irish black metal band that started in the 90s. They seem to be evolving into an epic folk metal sound (also labelled pagan metal). And the death vox that characterized their earlier albums are slowly being replaced by some nice vocals that you can actually understand. I'd recommend either of their last two albums, To the Nameless Dead and The Gathering Wilderness. Their earlier stuff is more forgettable to me, but standard black metal if anyone is interested. Well anyways, they have a new album coming out soon. Here's a couple of tracks from their last album...most of their songs are in the 8-10 minute length.

I do own PRIMORDIALs debut album "Imrama" and as black celtic/pagan death metal goes is pretty good.
The bands debut album was on CACOPHANOUS RECORDS a label well familiar to me in my time with the Gothic band 13 CANDLES. In the early days before the label went bust were leading bands CRADLE OF FILTH ,DIMMU BORGIR etc
So great to see old label mates still doing the business.
