Their cover of Buddy Holly's True Love Ways is one of my favorites. A little lusher than Holly's original and it works. Their success wasn't hurt by Peter Asher's (his sister Jane was Paul's love interest) roomate at the time, Paul McCartney. They shared a garret in the Asher family home in the west end of London. Paul used to get his exercise climbing the four flights of steps to his bedroom. Imagine how excited the guys were that delivered the piano he ordered for the hall outside his room at the top of the stairs! LOL
Lennon, Hendrix, Morrison and Joplin...all dead.

I met Peter Asher at The Fest For Betales Fans a year ago and saw his performance. It was REALLY great! I did Meet Gordon Waller as well (years before)...chatted over a beer if you can believe that. Really nice guy R.I. P. This is how it went down last year and how Peter looks today.
