Our Lady Peace: Alternative is thy name!

[0000]

Yeah I know how that is.....There are some albums coming out soon that I've been waiting a long time for so I need to get some money together.

New Tom Petty album?...

New Tom Petty album?...

There are two albums that outrank it on my list but yes.

[LG]

Very nicely done Cosmic.

Not a big fan though, currently I have zero OLP albums in the house.

Kind of amazing seeing I usually give homegrown bands at least a cursory listen but not this group...

I might put them on my list...any "Best" album rec's from you fans?

[Cosmic Harmony]

Well I (like many OLP fans) think their best albums are their first four "Naveed", "Clumsy", "Happiness... Is Not a Fish That You Can Catch", and "Spiritual Machines" with "Clumsy" being my favorite followed by "Naveed" so I would suggest either of those two personally.

[Cosmic Harmony]

Just thought I'd this thread.

What compelled me to do this is that out of nowhere "Spiritual Machines" has usurped all other Out Lady Peace albums for me. Like a sneaky freight train it hit me hard recently and passed both "Naveed" and "Clumsy" to become my favorite OLP album.

Here are two tracks off this album that I really think are worth listening to:

[Fisha]

Ooh, they have a new fan. Great sound they've got going

[Cosmic Harmony]

Yes, I think so too. They are among the finest of 90's alternative rock if I dare say so. They seem like they'd be up your alley Fisha.

[METALPRIEST]

Innocent

[Cosmic Harmony]

^^^That's the song that got me into OLP, Priest. Now I still love it but compared to other albums I think the album it's off, "Gravity", is weak as a whole (and I know Sooty will disagree with me on that ).

Here's one that I've been really loving in particular from them lately:

[Cosmic Harmony]

The very dark conclusion to Our Lady Peace's "Clumsy" album has really been sticking with me lately. Just thought I'd share it...
