Both bands are two of my favorites, but both have so many better songs than these sappy ballads

Open Arms.

I do like both songs but I like Foreigner for other reasons.....and it isn't their lovey dovey songs.


I have always loved Steve Perry's voice. This song has great high school dance memories .

^^I've voted for more than one song for the same reason.

If it was "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' " I would have picked Journey, but a little Steve Perry goes a long way for me.

I could listen to Perry all day.


And have gone on Journey album marathons.

My fave Journey song is Separate Ways, from the Tron soundtrack other than that I have a hard time listing many of their tunes.

Give me a couple hours to 'get ready' first a couple pops to buffer me against Perry's high pitched wailing.....



I like early Journey the most when they had more of an edge to their sound.

Dude, get over yourself...lol!

I picked the Foreigner song because it has mood...it has feel. I like Journey but that particular song just irks me to be honest. It sounds desperate and emasculated at the same time.
