Hello all. Am 52, was born in July but I have a new birthday now. Got hit by a car Feb. 16th. Was left by the drunk that hit me laying in the road with a fractured skull. Month in a coma and almost 5 months in the hospital but it could have been worse. I could easily have been dead so now consider Feb. 16th to be my new birthday. The drunk that hit me was caught, blew a .019 BAC and is facing some heap big trouble. Have bad nerve damage in my ears as a result so 40 years of guitar playing might be down the drain. Time will tell if it ever improves. No more plugging in the Les Paul and wailing away, can just do a bit of fingerpicking on a nylon string classical for now. Been in a bunch of bands and more concerts than I can remember. Led Zeppelin would have been the first, bought tickets when they went on sale but then Bonzo died so the first concert I went to was the Kinks in 1980.
Looking forward to rocking out again on the electric but time will tell...
